I have always found it challenging to articulate this question, as I perceive myself as a mere speck within the boundless universe. I am but a small drop in the vast ocean, constantly evolving and endeavoring to comprehend the purpose of my existence during my time on this transient plane known as Mother Earth.
Who is Sanjay Nair: More than the linear window
If I were to describe myself in linear terms, my name is Sanjay Nair. I have pursued a B.Pharm and M.B.A, accumulating 8 ½ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with 7 ½ of those years dedicated to product management. However, starting from 2007, my involvement with Project-9 and the rise of womanhood website has been driven by the calling of my soul. After all these years, it has become evident to me that my existence is not solely about myself, and I find it superficial to view myself through a linear lens.
Who is Sanjay Nair: Systems Window
By viewing myself through the lens of systems, I gain a clear understanding of my purpose on Earth and how to progress towards achieving it. This evolution has been continuous thus far and will persist as I move forward in life. To provide an idea of what I have previously mentioned, let me elucidate my academic and professional journey through the systems window.
Who is Sanjay Nair: The first attraction towards the field of medicine and pharmaceuticals
While in ninth grade, I watched a program on the pharmaceutical industry that aired on Doordarshan, the only television channel available at the time in India. The program left a profound positive impact on my subconscious mind. After completing tenth grade, I chose Biology, Chemistry, and Physics as my subjects. My natural inclination towards Biology and Chemistry prompted me to delve deeper into these subjects through self-study.
Who is Sanjay Nair: Fascination and inclination towards Life Sciences and Chemistry
During my eleventh grade, I created a 3D model of a cell membrane for a biology project, which garnered recognition as the best project in my class. This model was even displayed in the biology laboratory by my biology teacher, Tandon Madam. In twelfth grade, I held great admiration for my biology teacher, Ms. Srilekha Kumaran. In one of our class tests, I excelled, providing detailed answers that showcased my applied thoughts. When my biology teacher evaluated my paper, she commended my remarkable understanding of the subject and urged me to continuously enhance this ability. This pivotal moment ignited the journey of self-discovery in my life. I wrote my twelfth-grade board exams after just two months of diligent self-study, achieving the highest score in Biology out of all my subjects.
Who is Sanjay Nair: Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences
Following twelfth grade, I faced a choice between Hotel Management and Pharmacy. The memories of the 1988 television program resurfaced, along with my fondness for Biology and Chemistry. Without further contemplation, I opted for Pharmacy at N.G.S.M College of Pharmacy in Mangalore. My affinity for Biology and Chemistry enabled me to grasp each subject in depth and apply my knowledge during theory and practical examinations. Human physiology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, and Microbiology became particular areas of interest for me. I developed strong connections with my pharmacology professor, Mr. David Banjee, and found inspiration in my analytical chemistry professor, Ms. Krishna priya. I also hold cherished memories of my professors in the field of pharmaceutics and pharmacognosy, Ms. Geeta and Ms. Shanti, respectively.
Who is Sanjay Nair: Degree in Management
After completing my B.Pharm, I became fascinated with serving in the corporate world within the pharmaceutical industry. I recall informing my B.Pharm classmates that I aspired to become a medical representative directly involved in the industry or pursue an M.B.A and venture into product management. I subsequently pursued an M.B.A at VAMNICOM in Pune before entering the industry. This M.B.A equipped me with a stereoscopic vision, combining my scientific background with business management.
Who is Sanjay Nair: The foundation years
The next 8 ½ years in the industry unfolded like magic in my life. I traversed my life’s path with unwavering determination, gaining profound insights in both management and science. These insights have empowered me to achieve extraordinary results throughout my career. During these years, I developed a deep interest and expertise in revolutionary management principles such as “execution,” while also honing my scientific abilities to understand and communicate the intrinsic strengths of pharmaceutical molecules.
Who is Sanjay Nair: Scientific insight for the betterment of humanity
In a remarkable twist of fate, new molecules and drugs serendipitously entered my life, eagerly awaiting exploration and the potential to establish themselves as prominent brands. It is now difficult to fathom the role I played in turning the NSAID market in India upside down. My close involvement with cardiac medicine, coupled with my handling of NSAIDs in my previous role, led to a positive transformation for the NSAID brand (Aceclofenac) I oversaw. This transformation resulted from my discovery of the cardiac side effects of a class of NSAIDs known as COXIBs and my subsequent proactive approach, supported by international scientific evidence, to address these effects. Concurrently, I highlighted the unique safety and efficacy of Aceclofenac as an NSAID, backed by over a decade of clinical evidence.
Who is Sanjay Nair: Gaining depth in the practice of management
Simultaneously, I delved into various management books, including “Execution” by Larry Bossidy and Ram Charan, “The Fifth Discipline” by Peter Senge, and “Winning” by Jack Welch. These texts provided me with a comprehensive understanding of strategy, execution, and the vital role of human resource management. I not only absorbed these concepts and principles but also wholeheartedly applied them in both my professional and personal life.
Who is Sanjay Nair: The years of change
The years 2006 and 2007 marked a period of dissatisfaction, as I found myself unable to progress towards my life’s vision and purpose. My internal and external environments were fraught with turmoil. These years, however, taught me valuable lessons and provided insights into the negative reinforcing structures I had unwittingly contributed to. I made the decision to leave my job and wholeheartedly pursue my life’s vision and purpose. Armed with a clear understanding of my vision and a commitment to approach it with creative tension rather than emotional tension, I gained the strength to lay the initial blueprint for Project-9. I also fostered the determination to exert continuous efforts towards the rise of womanhood website.
Who is Sanjay Nair: The stereoscopic vision of science and management
As I embarked on the journey of creating Project-9, I began to appreciate how my scientific training, particularly in biology and chemistry, and my management education were synergistic forces propelling me forward. These fields provide me with a stereoscopic vision, enabling me to comprehend the intricate drug discovery process based on both dynamic and detailed complexity. Simultaneously, my understanding of systemic structures and generative learning organizations, derived from my studies in management, contribute further depth to my pursuit of Project-9.
Who is Sanjay Nair: The “rise of womanhood” website
Furthermore, the rise of womanhood website, which currently occupies my efforts, aims to expand Project-9’s reach to a wider audience, particularly women, with a message of new beginnings and generative living. This website seeks to mobilize a global force, awakening the feminine spirit. Establishing a learning organization based on Project-9 stands as one of the fundamental pillars of this endeavor.
