Hey, wanna start brainstormin’ an endless supply of product ideas, sales letters, and content for your kickass Internet marketing biz?
Well, lemme tell ya, there’s just one damn thing ya gotta do. And that’s to constantly expose your mind to a wild variety of things. I’m talkin’ different shit, even stuff that’s totally outta left field.
Basically, ya gotta read all sorts of periodicals, newspapers, books, and novels. Turn on that idiot box and soak up different TV shows and movies. Open your ears and listen to all sorts of voices on talk radio and the internet.
What’s the big idea, you ask? Well, when you do all that, your brain becomes an idea-packed river you can tap into anytime you damn well please. All those thoughts and ideas start chattin’ with each other, mixin’ together to create brand spankin’ new concepts and solutions for whatever you’re workin’ on.
Let me throw an example your way. I recently had a chat with this dude who came up with a “special effects” cookbook. Yep, a cookbook with recipes for volcano cakes and desserts in the shape of your mug—things that kids go bonkers for.
So, get this. He gets the idea while cruisin’ down the street. He’s thinkin’ how cookbooks always sell like hotcakes. At the same freakin’ time, he recalls somethin’ he caught on a science fiction TV show. And boom! The “special effects cookbook” is born.
Two totally unrelated ideas collided in his noggin and formed a million-dollar idea.
And that’s how it goes for all those “creative geniuses” out there. They fill their heads with info, let it all fuse together and chat it up with each other…and bam! An idea pops outta the other side.
