You’re an expert at something. And guess what? You’re an expert at more than one thing! So why limit yourself to just one area of expertise when you can market and sell products in two areas that you excel in?
There’s absolutely no reason to confine yourself to a single expertise when you can explore multiple arenas. The world is vast, and the internet world is even more immense. Unless the two areas of expertise would clash with each other, I say go for it, wholeheartedly.
Who says someone can’t be an expert in a couple of different things?
But here’s an even better idea for those seeking product creation. Why not be the expert yourself? Instead, you can interview other experts and have a whole range of products, just like me. You can position yourself as the expert without necessarily having the expertise yourself.
For instance, I have a captivating copywriting product featuring an interview with Eugene Schwartz, who’s a true expert in the field. I also have joint venture interviews where I collaborate with other experts in that realm. In fact, I have a fantastic product called Joint Venture Magic that I sell.
There’s no limit to the number of products I can sell, and there’s no conflict either because I’m simply the one posing the questions while they, the true experts, provide the insights. So my advice to anyone would be to seriously consider interviewing experts rather than trying to be the sole expert.
