- Is the compensation plan long term?
- Is the compensation plan easy?
- Is the compensation plan balanced?
Long Term Compensation Plan
A plan has to be long term if you want it to be worth your while. What does that mean? It means that the features of the plan need to allow for income continuity for years to come. And not just for you, but also for your next generation. You want your income to grow as your organization grows. You don’t want any limits or restrictions holding you back. That’s why binary and matrix plans are out, because they control the width and depth of your organization, instead of letting it expand. Unilevel plans are also not going to cut it, because they limit the depth of your income potential. You want a plan that’s in it for the long haul, just like you.
Easy Compensation Plan
An easy plan is one that recognizes and rewards you for the efforts you put in. The rewards and recognition should be permanent. You shouldn’t have to prove yourself again and again just to move forward. No, that’s not how it should work. You should be able to progress forward based on your own hard work and dedication. You should be able to focus on productive activities, like prospecting, coaching, and educating. That’s what an easy plan looks like. It’s about working smart, not just working hard. Because let’s be real, working hard and getting nowhere is not the way to success.
Balanced Compensation Plan
A plan is only truly balanced if it takes care of its distributors and leaders. It should favor them when it comes to commission percentages and payouts. It should be fair and equal, from the bottom all the way to the top. Because here’s the thing, the majority of people in MLM / Network Marketing are part-timers. So it’s crucial that they have the opportunity to make money right from the start. It can’t just be about becoming a leader. It has to be about everyone succeeding, no matter their rank or position.
